Welcome To The Mount Vernon Neighborhood In Washington, DC.

This spectacular Washington DC’s neighborhood can easily be confused with George Washington’s Virginia estate. In making the distinction between the two, you should note that D.C.’s Mount Vernon constitutes two adjacent neighborhoods—Miss Vernon Triangle and Mount Vernon Square. Mount Vernon Square has initially been one of the 15 large open spaces in Pierre L’Enfant’s District plan. Mount Vernon Triangle is located on the eastern side of the City, bound by New York Avenues, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.

Where to Live in Mount Vernon

On top of the Residences situated at CityCenterDC, other recently established condo developments bursting with social amenities include:

  • Yale Steam Laundry
  • The Whitman

A Downtown Destination Neighborhood

Mount Vernon is ideally situated just north of National Mall and adjacent to Capitol Hill, Logan Circle, Penn Quarter, and Chinatown.

Locals are surrounded by a rich parade of theatres, museums, restaurants, and bars, from major concert events and NBA basketball at Capital One Arena to diner at Rasika, Jaleo, or Michael Richard’s Central. In Mount Vernon, there is a little something for everyone.

Metro service is also situated at the Mount Vernon—a Convention Center station along the Yellow and Green lines. It is also adjacent to Chinatown at the Gallery Place-Chinatown station, served by Yellow and Red lines.
